ENCEVAC^® vaccines are available in the following combinations:

ENCEVAC^® with HAVLOGEN^®: A formaldehyde inactivated, adjuvanted bivalent equine vaccine consisting of Eastern and Western Equine Encephalomyelitis viruses.

ENCEVAC^® T with HAVLOGEN^®: A formaldehyde inactivated, adjuvanted polyvalent equine vaccine-toxoid consisting of Eastern and Western Equine Encephalomyelitis viruses and purified Tetanus Toxoid. For vaccination of healthy horses against Eastern and Western Equine Encephalomyelitis and Tetanus.

ENCEVAC^® T+VEE with HAVLOGEN^®: Eastern, Western and Venezuelan Encephalomyelitis (Sleeping Sickness) and Tetanus Toxoid. A formaldehyde inactivated, adjuvanted polyvalent equine vaccine-toxoid consisting of Eastern, Western and Venezuelan Equine Encephalomyelitis viruses and purified Tetanus Toxoid.

ENCEVAC^® TC-4 with HAVLOGEN^®: Eastern and Western Encephalomyelitis (Sleeping Sickness), Equine Influenza Vaccine and Tetanus Toxoid. A combination of inactivated, purified, concentrated, adjuvanted, tissue culture origin, Encephalomyelitis Virus, Eastern and Western, Equine Influenza Virus subtypes A1 and A2 including KY 93 strain, and Tetanus Toxoid. Intervet serological data suggest cross protection against certain U.S. and European strains, including Prague 56, KY63, KY 81 and 87, Fountainbleau 79, and Berlin 84 and 89.

ENCEVAC^® TC-4+VEE with HAVLOGEN^®: Eastern, Western and Venezuelan Equine Encephalomyelitis (Sleeping Sickness), Equine Influenza and Tetanus Toxoid. A combination of inactivated, purified, concentrated, adjuvanted, tissue culture origin, Encephalomyelitis Virus, Eastern, Western and Venezuelan, Equine Influenza Virus subtypes A1 and A2 including KY 93 strain and Tetanus Toxoid. Intervet serological data suggest cross protection against certain U.S. and European strains, including Prague 56, Detroit, Miami 63, KY 93, 94, 95 and 96, Suffolk 89, Kildare 89 and 92, Austria 92, Switzerland 93, New Market 1/93 and 2/93, Berlin 94, Italy 96 and Meath 96.

PreveNile™ contains a lyophilized Yellow Fever West Nile (YF-WN) chimera virus vaccine. The human vaccine yellow fever virus, YF-17D, was used as the backbone. The YF-17D strain is a highly effective, well-tolerated live, attenuated vaccine that has been used for over 60 years to immunize approximately 400 million people. The YF-17D virus was modified using molecular technology to form a YF-WN chimera virus that expresses the PreMembrane and Envelope proteins of WNV. Following injection, limited replication of the YF-WN chimera virus allows expression of these proteins that stimulate a protective immune response in the horse.

Administration and dosage: For pregnant mares administer a 2 mL dose intramuscularly during the 5th, 7th and 9th months of pregnancy. Three doses are essential for primary immunization. Maiden and barren mares housed or pastured with pregnant mares should be vaccinated on the same schedule. For primary immunization against respiratory disease administer three 2 mL doses intramuscularly at 4 to 6 week intervals. A 2 mL dose should be administered annually and at any time epidemic conditions exist or are reported and exposure is imminent.
