Influenza can cost an entire show season.
Equine influenza is the most economically important respiratory disease in horses.
In fact, studies show 66 percent of viral respiratory disease infections would be
equine influenza1. Extremely contagious with a high infection rate, influenza
can sideline a horse for weeks to months. The biggest danger of influenza, however,
may be the potential for a life threatening secondary infection.
